  1. 1

    Connect your Threads profile

Sign in to Planable and add a page from the Channels area. Choose Threads and approve access. Planable's Threads guide says the Threads profile needs an Instagram account linked to it.

  2. 2

Open the composer on the Threads tab

Click Compose and pick the Threads tab. Each channel gets its own tab, so a post for Threads and a post for X can have different text.

  3. 3

Write the post and add media

Type the post. Planable's guide lists text, images, video and hashtags for Threads. Paste a draft from your own notes or from a Threadgehog batch.

  4. 4

Send it for approval if your team needs that

On Pro and Enterprise, required approvals are available. On Basic, approvals are optional. Approvers can comment on a shared link without a Planable account.

  5. 5

Pick the date and time, then click Schedule

Choose when the post goes live and click Schedule. Planable's guide says the post publishes only after you schedule it, and the calendar shows its status until then.

What Planable is and who uses it

Planable describes itself as social media management, collaboration and organization in one place. Its homepage names three groups it is built for: agencies, multi-location brands and multi-brand companies. The product pages stress a visual content calendar, comments and suggestions on each post, and step-by-step approval flows.

That focus shows in how the tool is organized. Work happens in workspaces, each with its own social pages, and the price is per workspace, not per user. A team of ten people reviewing posts for one brand uses one workspace. An agency with six clients uses six.

Planable lists nine networks on its site: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Pinterest and Threads. It also says it handles other content, such as documents, in the same calendar. The site notes that Planable was acquired by SE Ranking and continues to operate as Planable.

Planable pricing and plans (as of October 2026)

Planable's pricing page lists three plans. Basic is $33 per workspace per month, Pro is $49 per workspace per month, and Enterprise is custom pricing with a demo booking. The page has a Monthly and Yearly toggle labeled "2 months free", so yearly billing covers 12 months for the price of 10. For more than five workspaces, Planable asks you to get in touch about a volume discount.

The trial is 50 free posts in total, with no time limit and no credit card. The 50 posts are a one-time allowance, not a monthly one, so spend them on the networks you plan to use. X publishing is part of the paid plans.

Each plan sets caps per workspace. Basic gives 4 social pages and 60 posts per month. Pro gives 10 social pages and 150 posts per month. Enterprise gives 50 social pages and unlimited posts. All three plans list unlimited users, so the bill stays the same as you add teammates or clients.

Analytics and the social inbox are add-ons on Basic and Pro. On the plan cards, analytics is $12 and the social inbox is $7.50 per workspace per month. Enterprise includes both, and social listening is a separate add-on on every plan. Each add-on has a 30-day free trial, but you can test add-ons only on a paid plan.

Threads and X support, scheduling and limits

Threads scheduling is listed on all three plans. Planable's Threads page says you can publish text, images, carousels and videos, preview a post before it goes out, and drag posts on the calendar to change the time. Planable's own scheduling guide says its integration schedules simple posts directly to Threads. For what Threads itself offers inside the app, see scheduling Threads natively.

Each channel has its own tab and its own preview, so check a long draft in the Threads preview before you schedule it, and keep each Threads post to the text and media types the guide lists: text, images, carousels and videos.

X support depends on the plan. On Basic the pricing page limits publishing to 1 post per 24 hours. On Pro and Enterprise it says unlimited. Planable's X page lists posts with links, GIFs, images and carousels. If you plan several X posts a day, the unlimited line on Pro or Enterprise is the one that fits.

Planable also has a Sync option that lets you write one post, then edit the version for each network. That helps when the Threads text and the X text should differ.

AI features, approvals and analytics

The AI assistant is described as unlimited on the Threads page. It suggests post ideas, generates posts from a prompt, writes captions from images or video, rewrites text to fit a style or a platform limit, and generates hashtags. The features page adds post suggestions based on your previous posts. The pricing table lists AI post rewrite and AI post generate on Basic, Pro and Enterprise.

Approvals are the center of the product. Approvers join by email or link, and occasional approvers can view and comment through a shared post link without an account. Approved posts can be scheduled automatically once they get a green light. Basic offers no approvals or optional ones, Pro adds required approvals, and Enterprise adds multi-level approvals.

For analytics, the features page lists top posts, audience insights and engagement metrics, with reports shared as PDF or a link and sent monthly. On Basic and Pro that area is the paid add-on.

Scheduling a Threads post in Planable, step by step

The five steps above are the whole path for one post. Two details save time. First, connect the Instagram account before the Threads profile, because Planable's guide says Threads access runs through that link. Second, decide where approvals sit before you schedule, since a post goes live only after it is approved and scheduled.

For X, repeat the steps on the X tab. On Basic, remember the 1 post per 24 hours cap when you stack several posts on one day. If you write one draft for both networks, use the Sync option, then trim the Threads text and the X text separately.

Where Threadgehog fits next to Planable

Planable is where a team reviews and publishes finished posts. Threadgehog is a Mac app that writes the posts: a daily batch of Threads posts and threads in a voice learned from about ten example posts, with the X version written when you approve a Threads draft. Approved drafts go to the scheduler you already use, and Threadgehog's connections are Buffer, Typefully, Publer, Metricool and Postiz.

The two tools do different jobs. A team that needs client sign-off on every post can keep that review in Planable. A founder who wants a week of drafts waiting in a review queue can use Threadgehog and one of its five schedulers. Threadgehog is in waitlist mode now: join the waitlist and the 14-day free trial starts when it opens. See pricing for the plans.

For the agency case, the social media agencies page covers how Threadgehog handles several projects, each with its own drafts and queue.
