What Tweet Hunter offers

Tweet Hunter is a growth suite for X. Its pricing page lists a library of more than 12 million viral tweets, scheduling, auto-plug, Auto-DMs and a CRM. Discover is $29 a month for 1 X account, and Grow is $49 a month for 5 X accounts with the AI writer. There is no free plan, and the trial is 7 days (checked October 2026).

The Enterprise tier is $200 a month and adds unlimited X accounts, custom-trained AI and a ghostwriting mode.

Why people look for alternatives

The most common reason is the platform list. Tweet Hunter's pricing page lists X only, and Threads and LinkedIn are not mentioned. If you now post on Threads as well, you need something that covers both or a second tool.

The second reason is where the AI sits. Tweet Hunter's AI writer starts on the $49 Grow plan. Other tools include writing help on every plan.

Inspiration without a tweet library

A library of viral tweets answers the question of what to write about. Threadgehog answers it a different way: you choose the posts it learns from. Paste links to 10 to 20 that did well, from any account in your niche, and the voice notes and topics come from those.

That makes the choice yours. The guide to finding posts that work shows what to look for: posts with plenty of replies, specific openers and a clear single idea.

A checklist before you switch

List what you use today. If it is the tweet library and Auto-DMs, a scheduler with AI will not replace those, and you may want to keep Tweet Hunter for X while adding a Threads tool. If it is mostly scheduling and an AI writer, most of the tools above cover that.

Then count accounts. Tweet Hunter Grow covers 5 X accounts at $49 a month. Postiz Standard covers 5 channels at $29, and Threads plus X for one brand is 2 of those. Buffer would be $10 a month for the same two channels on Essentials.

Finally, check the trial. Tweet Hunter, Hypefury, Postiz and PostEverywhere offer 7-day trials, SocialBee and Buffer's paid plans 14 days. Threadgehog's 14-day trial, with 50 AI drafts, starts when the Mac app opens from the waitlist. Run any two side by side for a week and keep the one you actually opened.

Accounts and projects

Tweet Hunter prices by X accounts: 1 on Discover, 5 on Grow. Threadgehog prices by projects: 2 on Solo, 10 on Pro and unlimited on Unlimited. Each project has its own drafts and queue, split into Threads and X, and posts to its own accounts.

If you run accounts for others, see social media agencies and affiliates on X.

What the entry prices buy

At $29 a month, Tweet Hunter Discover, Postiz Standard, SocialBee Bootstrap and Threadgehog Solo sit at the same price but cover different things. Discover gives 1 X account. Postiz gives 5 channels. SocialBee gives 5 profiles. Threadgehog Solo gives 2 projects with 300 AI drafts a month and 30 images a month.

Buffer, Hypefury and PostEverywhere start lower but charge per channel, per platform or per account, and AI limits vary. Work out your own count of channels before you compare.

Writing for Threads and X together

Threadgehog treats Threads and X as two lanes of the same project. It writes a post for Threads, rewrites it for X with the link intact, and aims the X version at 280 characters with the link kept. See the walkthrough in how to post daily on Threads and X without writing every post.

Because inspiration is part of what Tweet Hunter sells, note how Threadgehog handles it: you paste links to 10 to 20 posts that did well, from any account, and it builds six voice notes from them. The guide on finding posts that work shows what to look for.

Where Tweet Hunter is a good fit

If X is your main channel and you want a large library of proven tweets to riff on, plus tools like auto-plug and Auto-DMs in the same product, Tweet Hunter is built around that. Its AI writer produces daily tweets and thread ideas on Grow.

It makes sense for X-first creators and for teams that run several X accounts, since Grow covers 5.
