Alternatives

Hypefury alternatives now that it no longer supports X

Short answer

Hypefury's own pricing-page FAQ says it no longer supports X, so people who post on X and Threads need another tool. Typefully, Buffer, Tweet Hunter and Postiz cover X. Threadgehog drafts posts for Threads and X in one brand voice and sends them to a scheduler that publishes to both.

What changed with Hypefury and X

Hypefury's pricing page FAQ answers the question about X directly: it says Hypefury no longer supports X. We re-checked that page on October 17, 2026. The plans list Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok instead.

Hypefury is a creator-growth scheduler with Autoplugs, AutoDMs for Instagram and an AI feature it describes as trained on your posts. Flexible is $6 a month with 1 platform included and $6 a month for each extra one. Full is $19 a month with all channels. Both come with a 7-day free trial and no card (October 2026). The page does not list yearly prices.

If you still post on X

Any alternative needs X support first. Typefully, Buffer, Postiz and Tweet Hunter all list it. Publer supports X on paid plans only, and Metricool treats X as a paid add-on.

Check which networks the tool treats as one channel. Buffer charges per channel, so Threads plus X means two channels on Essentials at $5 a month each, billed yearly.

Moving from Hypefury

Your published posts stay on your own accounts when you change tools. What you rebuild is the habit: the schedule, the voice and the queue. List your Hypefury Autoplug and AutoDM rules before you leave, since they are Hypefury features and other tools may handle them differently.

In Threadgehog, the equivalent of a link in a follow-up is the link share you set: choose how many posts point to your product, such as 25% for about 1 in 4. The link goes in the last post of a thread, and the X version keeps it.

Use the trial period to run a week side by side before you cancel anything.

Price per platform

Hypefury charges $6 a month for 1 platform on Flexible and $6 for each extra, or $19 a month on Full for all channels. If you post to only Threads, Flexible at $6 is among the lowest prices in this list. Buffer Essentials is $5 a month per channel, billed yearly, so Threads plus X is $10. Both prices exclude tax and were checked in October 2026.

Threadgehog is priced for the writing and not per platform: Solo is $29 a month for 2 projects and 300 AI drafts, with Threads and X inside each project. You still pay a scheduler, though Buffer and Typefully have free plans.

Writing for Threads and X together

Threads allows 500 characters per text post and X allows 280 for standard posts, so one draft rarely fits both. Threadgehog writes the Threads version and rewrites it for X, keeping the link, and checks both limits before sending. In a thread, the product link goes in the last post.

Each project has its own drafts and queue, split into Threads and X, posting to its own accounts. Read the guide to scheduling Threads posts with AI for how the five schedulers handle threads.

AI features compared

Hypefury lists AI trained on your posts on the Full plan only. Tweet Hunter's AI writer starts on the $49 Grow plan and writes daily tweets, rewrites and finishes drafts. Typefully's AI sits in its editor on paid tiers. Buffer's AI Assistant is on every plan and sends text to OpenAI models.

Threadgehog's AI is included in every plan, with 300, 750 or 1,500 drafts a month, or you can write with your own Claude or ChatGPT plan or key with no per-post charge from us.

Where Hypefury is a good fit

If your audience lives on Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Instagram or TikTok, Hypefury's Full plan at $19 a month covers all of those channels, which is a low entry price. Autoplugs and AutoDMs suit creators who want to automate follow-up on posts that perform.

The 7-day trial needs no card, so trying it costs nothing. The gap to plan around is X, which its own FAQ says is not supported.
