What Jasper is and who uses it
Jasper is an AI platform built for marketing teams. Its pages describe Canvas for content creation, Agents that run marketing workflows, and a layer it calls Jasper IQ that holds brand voice, knowledge and audiences. The audience on its pages is marketers: brand, content, product marketing and social teams.
For Threads and X, Jasper is a drafting tool. It writes social copy in a voice you save, and its pages list a Social Media Campaign agent among the Agents. The platform is oriented toward teams with several brands, campaigns and approvers.
If you are one founder posting about one product, you will use a small part of it. If you are an agency or a marketing team, the shared voice and workflow pieces are the point.
Jasper plans and pricing (as of October 2026)
Jasper's pricing page lists two plans. Pro is $59 per seat per month when billed yearly, or $69 per seat billed monthly. Business is custom pricing, and you contact sales. Paying yearly saves about 20% on Pro, according to the page, and monthly billing can be cancelled any time.
Pro includes 1 seat, Canvas, Agents for core marketing workflows, and smart customization with 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets and 3 Audiences. Jasper offers a 7-day free trial of Pro.
Business includes everything in Pro, plus agents for complex workflows such as GEO, translations and deep research, a no-code builder for Custom Agents, Jasper Grid, unlimited Brand Voices, Knowledge and Audiences, API access, admin controls and groups, and dedicated account management. The pricing page notes that some usage-based features run on credits alongside seat pricing on Business.
Threads and X support, scheduling and limits
Jasper drafts the copy in your Brand Voice, and you post it yourself, through a scheduler, or with Threadgehog's Export only mode, which gives you the finished posts to paste.
Jasper's own blog on AI for social media says that if you work in a scheduling platform such as Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Salesforce or Sprout Social, the Jasper Chrome extension brings its templates to you. The pricing page lists a Chrome and Edge extension, and integrations with Webflow, Google Docs, Slack, Zapier and Make.
Platform character limits are set by Threads and X and they change. See the Threads character limit and the X character limit, and tell Jasper the limit in each request.
Brand Voice, Knowledge and Agents
Brand Voice is the feature most relevant to a posting routine. Jasper describes it as AI that sounds like you, with tuning for voice, tone and style, and it says Jasper flags text where the tone is off-brand and suggests adjustments. That check can cut review time on a team.
Knowledge holds facts about your product, and Audiences let you aim a draft at a specific group. Agents package a workflow. The Agents page lists a Social Media Campaign agent for a cohesive campaign, and the product page lists a Remix feature that repurposes existing content for other channels.
A worked example: a two-person team launches an update. One person pastes the release note into Canvas and asks Remix for a week of posts. The other checks the drafts against the Brand Voice, fixes the flagged lines, and copies the approved ones into the team's scheduler. The Pro plan covers one seat, so a second seat means a second Pro seat or a conversation with sales about Business.
Jasper also lists image tools, such as image generation, background replacement and upscaling, and a 7-day version history in its editor.
How to use Jasper for Threads and X posts
Choosing between plans comes down to seats and customization. Pro suits one person with one or two brands. Business suits a team that needs shared voices, custom agents, API access or single sign-on, which the pricing page lists under Business.
Keep the setup small. Use one Brand Voice built from five to ten of your best posts, one Knowledge asset with your product description, and one Audience for the people who follow you.
Ask for posts, not campaigns. "Write 8 posts about [feature], each with a Threads version and an X version inside the character limits. One idea per post." Run the request in Canvas, edit, and keep the good ones.
Use Remix when you have a long piece. Paste a blog post or a release note and ask for a week of posts from it. Then copy approved posts into your scheduler.

Where Threadgehog fits next to Jasper
Threadgehog is a Mac app for one job: writing posts and multi-post threads for Threads and X from about ten example posts, holding them in a review queue, and sending approved posts to Buffer, Typefully, Publer, Metricool or Postiz. When you approve a Threads post, it writes the X version on its own.
A team can use Jasper for campaign copy and Threadgehog for the daily Threads and X routine. Each does a different job, and Threadgehog works on its own: its Export only mode gives you the finished posts to paste wherever you publish.
Threadgehog has a 14-day free trial when it opens (cancel before day 15 and you are not charged). Solo is $29 a month or $249 a year for 2 projects, Pro is $49 a month or $399 a year for 10 projects, and Unlimited is $79 a month, $649 a year, or $1,199 once for lifetime. The Mac app is on a waitlist now. See pricing.
