Add images or videos if you want them. To publish a chain of posts, turn on the Multi Threads toggle and the preview shows the chain.

  5. 5

    Check status in the Planner

What ContentStudio is and who uses it

ContentStudio is a social media management platform. Its homepage says it plans and creates content, publishes across channels and tracks performance, and lists Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Threads, Telegram, Bluesky and Google Business among its integrations. X has its own scheduler page.

The feature list is wide. There is a unified content calendar, an AI Studio for captions, hashtags, images and video, a combined inbox for comments, DMs and mentions, a Discover tool that follows RSS feeds, and analytics that track your own accounts and competitors.

Agencies are a clear audience. Approval workflows, client workspaces, a white-label option and EasyConnect, which lets clients connect accounts without sharing passwords, are all listed on the site. The Standard plan includes one workspace and one user.

ContentStudio pricing and plans (as of October 2026)

ContentStudio's pricing page lists four main plans. Standard is $19 a month billed annually ($228 a year), with 5 social accounts, 1 workspace and 1 user. Advanced is $49 a month billed annually ($588 a year), with 10 social accounts, 2 workspaces and 2 users. Agency Unlimited is $99 a month billed annually ($1,188 a year), with unlimited workspaces and users. Enterprise is custom and sold through sales.

Month-to-month prices are higher. The FAQ lists $29 for Standard, $69 for Advanced and $139 for Agency Unlimited. The FAQ says Agency Unlimited starts at 25 social accounts and scales with tiered pricing.

Every self-serve plan has a 7-day trial with no credit card. A separate API plan is $15 a month billed annually, with 10 social accounts, 1 workspace, 1 user and 3,000 API requests, for people who connect ContentStudio to tools like Zapier, Make or n8n.

For a solo writer with one Threads profile and one X account, Standard covers both inside its 5 social accounts and 1 user at $19 a month billed annually. A pair who share the dashboard fit Advanced: 10 social accounts and 2 users at $49.

Threads and X support, scheduling and limits

For Threads, ContentStudio's documentation lists text posts, images, videos, carousels and multi-post chains. The limits it states are 500 characters for a text post, 2 to 10 items in a carousel, JPEG or PNG images up to 8 MB, MOV or MP4 videos up to 1 GB, and 250 posts per 24-hour rolling window for each Threads profile. The docs also say an Instagram account must be linked to the Threads account.

The Threads scheduler page adds repeat posts, which republish your best content at set intervals, bulk scheduling, best-time recommendations and separate posting queues for different accounts or campaigns. You can manage several Threads accounts from one dashboard, organized into workspaces.

The X scheduler page lists posts, threads, images, videos, GIFs, polls and replies in one composer, multiple X accounts in one dashboard, bulk upload, an AI-built posting schedule and separate queues. Account limits for each plan are on the pricing page.

The Multi Threads toggle covers chained posts on Threads. To see how Threads treats scheduled posts on its own side, read scheduling Threads natively.

AI features and analytics

AI Studio covers text, image and video. Credits scale with the plan: Standard lists 25,000 text credits, 25 image credits, 100 video credits and 100 video clipping credits; Advanced lists 50,000, 50, 200 and 200; Agency Unlimited lists 125,000, 125, 500 and 500. Every plan includes AI brand knowledge and voice. Advanced adds 100 AI auto-replies and Agency Unlimited adds 250.

On analytics, Standard includes social media analytics. Advanced adds competitor analytics, campaign and label analytics, Meta Ads and Google Ads analytics, and exports with scheduled reports. The Threads page says you can track Threads performance from the same platform.

Posting to Threads and X with ContentStudio

The five steps above cover a Threads post or chain. For X, open Compose, pick your X account and write the post or a thread in the same composer, then schedule it. Write the Threads text and the X text separately if they should differ.

Two habits help. Start with the Planner view each week so you see queue gaps. And when you use a chain on Threads, read the preview before scheduling, since the preview updates to show the whole sequence.

A worked week looks like this. On Monday, upload a CSV of ten Threads posts for bulk scheduling and let the best-time recommendations place them. On Wednesday, open the Planner and look for empty days. If you use repeat posts for your best Threads content, set the interval there so it republishes without a new draft. One Threads profile can publish up to 250 posts in a rolling 24 hours, so a normal schedule stays well inside that.

Where Threadgehog fits next to ContentStudio

ContentStudio schedules and manages posts you bring to it, with AI Studio help on captions. Threadgehog is a Mac app that writes a daily batch of Threads posts and multi-post threads in a voice learned from about ten example posts, with the X version written when you approve a Threads draft. Its approved posts go to Buffer, Typefully, Publer, Metricool or Postiz on the schedule you pick.

The jobs overlap only at the drafting step. A team that wants one dashboard for ten networks, an inbox and client workspaces can use ContentStudio for that. A founder who wants posts written and waiting in a review queue each morning can use Threadgehog with one of its five schedulers; see the Buffer and Typefully pages. Threadgehog is in waitlist mode, and the 14-day free trial starts when it opens.
