# Threadgehog

> Threadgehog is a Mac app for promoting a project on Threads and X (Twitter), including from a brand-new account with no posts. It writes posts and multi-post threads in a style learned from about ten example posts (your own, or posts in your niche that did well). Every plan includes Threadgehog AI drafts each month: 50 in the trial, 300 on Solo, 750 on Pro and 1,500 on Unlimited. AI packs add more: 150 drafts for $9 a week, 500 for $15 a month, or 1,500 for $39 a month. For unlimited drafts, bring your own API key (recommended) from OpenRouter (one-click connect), Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI or Moonshot; you pay the provider directly and Threadgehog charges nothing per post. From version 1.1 it can also write with a Claude Pro or Max plan or a ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan the buyer already pays for, by running Claude Code or Codex on their Mac signed in to that plan; drafts count toward the plan's usage limits and no API key is needed. It writes 1 to 500 drafts a day on its own while the app is open, optional auto-approve sends the drafts it is sure about straight to the queue once it agrees with your choices often enough, and you choose how often a post promotes your product or link (0% to 100%, in steps of 5). Reviewing a batch weekly or monthly is the recommended way. Drafts wait in a review queue where you approve or reject them. When you approve a Threads post, it writes the X version on its own. It learns from what you approve and reject, and sends approved posts to the scheduler you already use: Buffer, Typefully, Publer, Metricool or Postiz, on the schedule you pick (once a day, twice a day, every 6 hours or every hour) while the app is open.

Paid plans also include Threadgehog images each month: 30 on Solo, 75 on Pro, 150 on Unlimited, and lifetime gets 150 a month for its first 2 years. Image packs add more: 50 for $9, 200 for $25, or 600 for $59, paid once, never expire.
